As 2020 moved inexorably into the rear-view mirror… the considerable time spent, on self-reflection had a unifying audio thought… that music and what it says, does and feels was never more important. There have been times when old favourites have seemed like new friends and new discoveries have seemed like essential pieces of daily magic.
From the early pandemic Italian block party balcony performances, to lo-key YouTube performances, from having the radio on all day as a constant companion, to dipping into DJ livestreams. Music has provided an essential sense of shared community, directing and enrapturing human attention, providing a silver soundtrack through the darkest of annual clouds.
This mix, effortlessly, and organically, marries the vintage, the classic, the new, and the unknown… all musical hallmarks of Eames.
